CVS can handle containers from the longitudinal side and it can do that with several different fork lifts models, besides the well know Empty Container Reach Stacker. CVS Ferrari has recently delivered two units to a very large user of CVS machines of a 25 Tonner fork-lift equipped with “end-on” handling spreader. This truck has the ability to lift up to 3 high stacking 40’ reefer containers with the refrigerating unit placed at the opposite side of the pick-up one.

At CVS we satisfied in 2025 other customers in need to rotate the longitudinally lifted container “around the clock”. This came from the need to both inspect the bottom and the roof of the box in one quick move, as well as to have better access on every “angle” of a container that requires to be repaired. This “magic” was made possible by a Container Rotating Attachment mounted on the carriage of a 25 Tonner CVS Ferrari lift truck. CVS FH25 in the above described configuration have been delivered this year to their depots of Hamburg (Germany) and Le Havre (France).

Another very loyal German customer of CVS has just taken delivery of two more 6 high stacking machines, also equipped with a two point pick “end-on” attachment. The very special part of these machines lays this time in the mast, rather than in the attachment.  Having indeed to retrieve from the side specific dry 20’ and 40’ containers stored in a 6 high cube block stack built up by “regular” ECHs equipped with conventional 20’-40’ telescopic spreader, these machines have got to deal with several challenges. Like the narrow spreader twist locks visibility and the massive stress exerted on the mast by a very extended load center at very high lifting heights. All this is solved by the unique and customized design solutions that can only be found at CVS Ferrari.
