SALERNO CONTAINER TERMINAL, part of the GALLOZZI GROUP, like many other economic operators that have voluntary pledged to progressively reduce their environmental footprint and taking consequential actions with their claims, have since a while started to replace the elder machines of their container handling equipment fleet with eco-friendly ones. Amid this program in the course of 2023, SCT has taken delivery of three CVS FERRARI reach stackers “E” series, meaning fitted with ENERGY SAVING package and two HY08.8 hybrid ECHs. These two HY-LIFTs can stack containers 1 over 7 x 8’6’’ or 1 over 6 x 9’6’’. Reliability and fuel consumption compared to other conventional yet relatively recently acquired comparable machines is reported – by the user – to be “amazing”.
